Beware - Halal Meat Is Being Passed Off In Jamaican Style Food

Beware - Halal Meat Is Being Passed Off In Jamaican Style Food

Several of the main supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, Morrisons and online store Ocado are all stocking various products from two affiliated companies which are manufactured using Halal meat.

The range from Kingston Town Foods who markets their range as "traditional Jamaican food" includes:
Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas
Jerk Chicken Wings
Curry Mutton with Rice
Chicken Fricassee with Rice and Peas

The range from Jamaican Patties Limited makers of Port Royal Patties includes:
Port Royal Jamaican Beef Patties
Port Royal Jamaican Chicken Patties
Port Royal Jamaican Jerk Chicken Patties
Port Royal Jamaican Lamb Patties
Port Royal Jamaican Saltfish Patties
Port Royal Jamaican Beef and Cheese Patties

The two companies, both based in London, are run by Managing Director Edward Johnston.

*Since when has Islam and Halal played a role in Jamaica or traditional Jamaican foods?
*This is yet another example of cynical 'bandwagon jumping' in the name of making profits.

Please take a few moments to ask UKIP to keep their policy to ban non-stun slaughter which they are now seeking to reverse due to pressure from Jewish Groups.

  1. I did complain about the Island Delight Lamb Pattie which isn`t labled as Halal, but is described as such on their website. They sent me a voucher for £20 off if I spent £60 online at their website. No thanks, I would prefer honesty.
